Compression Molding of Cup Anemometer for the Meteorology Industry
||A client from Louisville, Colorado recently contacted Hanlon Industries to help them manufacture a series of cup anemometers used within a meteorology application to measure wind speed. Using our advanced compression molding equipment, we were able to successfully press and mold each unit to meet precise customer specifications, based off a 2D print.|
Upholding a tight (±) .3 gram tolerance, our press and mold machinery manufactured the cup anemometers to measure precisely 2 inches in outer diameter and 1.085 inches in height. Constructed from ESC carbon fiber material, each unit measured 4.8 grams. After manufacturing was complete, we provided each anemometer with a smooth, glossy finish, ensuring that the parts contained no pits, nicks, scratches, or physical deformities on its outer surface. We also checked the parts' size and weight to make certain that each unit met exact dimensional requirements, and then delivered these cup anemometers to our client's facility in Colorado.
Fulfilling all of our customer's unique product specifications using our advanced compression molding technology, Fiberglass Engineering Company has now been contracted to manufacture up to 1,000 cup anemometers per year for this meteorology client in Colorado.
